Olkhon island ranks among top three most mystical places in Russia.Olkhon island on Lake Baikal has been ranked among top three most favorite locations for mystic tourism in Russia. The rating was drawn up by analytical agency TourStat. Experts of the agency explained that mystic tourism can be defined as traveling to places where spirts, ghosts or other mysterious entities are believed to exist.

The top three also include the mountain monastery Kachi-Kalyon near Bakhchisarai in Crimea and Mount Belukha in Altai. The top ten include Cape Fiolent near Sevastopol, Lake Svetloyar in Nizhni Novrogod region, mystic land Belovodye, Lake Bezdonnoye in Moscow region, ancient city of Arkaim in Tchelyabinsk region, Ivonginski Datsan in Buryatia and Sunduki Range in Khakassia.
